Our Nursery

The Silchester Manor School has day care provision for children aged from 3 months to 5 years. Its opening times are 7:45 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday throughout the year. It is closed on bank holidays and in the week between Christmas and New Year.

The nursery is situated in a victorian lodge with seven spacious rooms and an extensive outdoor play area which provides a soft and safe environment. Children in our care are able to participate in a wide range of play and learning experiences which enable them to develop a positive self-image with the skills needed to become independent.

There is an excellent curriculum with lots of activities, including French, swimming, dance, music and jumping gym, all taught by specialist teachers. Our staff are qualified at NVQ levels 2 and 3; we also train students to our own high standards, assessed by our own in-house assessors, and frequently employ these students once their training is completed.
