Staff

CfBT Education Trust supports each of its schools and nurseries with a dedicated team of professionals. Silchester Manor School can offer a speech therapist, counsellor, educational psychologist and tutoring service should the need arise. This is all part of our aim to provide a complete service.

Specialist staff employed by the school itself include two sports staff for boys’ and girls’ physical education and games, two music teachers, two language specialists, a drama and elocution teacher and an ICT specialist.

The school also has partnerships with the Buckinghamshire local authority for early years support.

We rely on being able to employ the right teachers, and our recruitment procedures are rigorous. Although many schools struggle to find staff, we have never found this a problem. Nor is staff retention an issue: we have a number of long-serving highly committed staff.

CfBT Education Trust holds regular training courses for teachers throughout south-east England. Our own teachers can opt to attend any of these courses, which are led by national educational experts, and this further develops their skills and talents.

We have recently been awarded Investor in People status, reflecting our approach to people management and the opportunities we offer. Our staff find the school a good working environment, with regular training and continuing fresh challenges. We expect a lot from the staff!
